- Victim's Assistance
  
  If you or someone you know has been the victim of sexual misconduct on the part of a priest, deacon, or individual representing the Diocese of Crookston, its parishes, or its schools, your first call should be to law enforcement. In addition, the diocesan Victim Assistance Coordinator is available at 218-281-7895 (24-hour confidential number).
  
  The Catholic Bishop Abuse Reporting Service has been established to receive reports of sexual abuse and related misconduct by bishops, and to relay those reports to proper Church authorities for investigation. Where a report includes a crime, such as the sexual abuse of a minor, it will also be reported to civil authorities. Otherwise, reports will be kept confidential. CLICK HERE or call 1-800-276-1562.

  In the interest of accountability, the Diocese of Crookston maintains a list of names of individuals against whom there is a credible claim of abusing a minor as defined under Minn. Stat. § 626.556 subd. 2(d), or in the possession of child pornography. The list is divided according to whether the alleged abuse took place within our diocese or outside of the diocese. A credible claim is one for which sufficient evidence exists to establish reasonable grounds to believe that the alleged abuse occurred.
