For the past several years, the Diocese of Crookston has prayerfully discerned how we can better accompany children, youth, and families in living the Catholic faith. The result is a renewed vision for Faith Formation, grounded in Ten Guiding Principles and supported by a pastoral framework that emphasizes lifelong discipleship rather than simply religious instruction. Structured around the three stages of Encounter, Discipleship, and Witness, this framework invites families, parish mentors, and the entire parish community to journey together in helping young people encounter Jesus Christ, grow as His disciples, and become joyful missionary witnesses in the world. Rather than prescribing a single program, it provides a shared vision that each parish can faithfully implement according to its unique gifts, needs, and circumstances.
