Cathedral Liturgy Coordinator and Cathedral School Music Teacher (1.0 FTE)-Crookston, MN
This position can be a full time position as a liturgist and music teacher or a part time school teacher position.
Qualifications:
-Proficiency at organ and piano
-Knowledge of Catholic liturgical principles
-Experience in the primary level classroom (A Minnesota teaching license is preferred, but not required)
Liturgy Coordinator (70%)
-Plan music for liturgies of obligation and other special days
-Instrumentalist three weekends a month
-Schedule song leaders and choir
-Rehearse song leaders and choir
-Collaborate with diocesan liturgical events
-Create and lead Worship Committee
-art and environment
-liturgical ministry training and mentorship
-Develop junior musician mentorship
-Funerals
-meet with families to plan funerals
-play for funerals (extra stipend) or schedule instrumentalist
-Schedule song leaders
Cathedral School Music Teacher (30%)- Mid August- May
-Prepare, plan, & teach weekly music classes for Kindergarten prep-Sixth Grade with targeted standards and goals in mind.
-Fill out weekly Mass preparation sheet and give to the corresponding teacher
-Prepare classes for upcoming Mass music
-Play piano for weekly school Mass and direct students
-Prepare and direct music programs & performances throughout the year *(see below)
-Attend Monthly staff meetings (and other trainings as needed)
-Maintain student progress & grades
-Other duties as assigned
