Who should attend a Reason for Hope Retreat?
Are you a high schooler that is desiring to learn more about your faith? Have you had an encounter with the Lord that you desire to deepen? These retreats are for you! These 24-hour retreats are inspired by 1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect”.
The goal of the Reason for Hope Retreats is to help young people grow in their relationship with Christ and to feel confident to share the faith with those around them. The Five Marks of the Reason for Hope Retreats listed below will give you a vision for what you will experience on this retreat.
The Five Marks of the Reason for Hope Retreats:Proclamation of the Gospel- Share the Kerygma to strengthen faith
Active Witness- Participating in the missionary spirit of the Catholic Church through testimonies
Celebration of the Sacraments- Active participation specifically in the Mass and Confession
Christian Witness – Experience other young adults and youth living for Christ
Fun- time in games and community
The Diocese of Crookston invites those in high school to dive deeper into their faith through a 24-hour retreat!
Dates Available: Yearly, December & March (See dates below)
Time: 2:00pm-2:00pm (Registration at 1:30pm)
Location: 620 Summit Ave N Crookston, MN 56716
Cost: $85 per retreat
Participants: High Schoolers 9th-12th Grade
The Diocese of Crookston is providing two retreat dates:
December 7-8th, 2024
March 1-2nd, 2025 -
Both retreats will have the same structure but will be different in content so feel free to attend one or both retreats.
Both retreats will begin at 2:00pm on the Saturday and will conclude on Sunday at 2:00pm. All participants will attend Mass together on Sunday morning. Participants will be served dinner on Saturday with snacks in the evening and brunch on Sunday. This retreat will be held at the Diocese of Crookston Pastoral Retreat Center, 620 Summit Ave, Crookston, MN, 56716.
Payment Instructions
- Please note that spots are limited to a first come basis. A $85.00 online fee is required for the submission of the registration.
- You will receive an email with confirmation of your registration from JotForm with your receipt at the end.
- If participants are using parish fundraising accounts, or are receiving financial assistance through the parish, the parent/guardian is responsible for sending their youth minister or parish the confirmation email with the receipt for reimbursement.
