The Diocese of Crookston Catholic Community Foundation (CCF) is a separate, nonprofit corporation which is tax-exempt pursuant to section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The CCF manages investments for parishes within the Diocese of Crookston. The Foundation manages a number of endowments, some for the benefit of parishes and others for the benefit of needs throughout the local Church of Crookston. The endowment for the Education of Seminarians is included. The Mount Saint Benedict Endowment Fund (MSBE Fund) is also included as of July of 2023. The CCF administers the grant—making process for the MSBE Fund. The Foundation also administers the Faith for Tomorrow Endowment (FFT), which makes grants to parishes for education, adult and youth faith formation, evangelization, and vocation initiatives. Each of these endowments has a page where you can learn more about grant opportunities.
As a Catholic organization, the CCF draws the values, directions, and criteria that guide its financial choices from the Gospel, universal Church teaching, and by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (IJSCCB). At the present time, investments are managed by Alerus Financial in Grand Forks, ND. Alerus uses a screening tool to assure us that the gifts to the Foundation are in line with our values and Catholic social principles. The CCF also makes loans to parishes within the Diocese for various building and maintenance projects.
