A Community of Hospitality & Service
At Nazareth Retreat House, every retreat is made possible by the generous hearts of women who serve with joy and hospitality. Some Women's Ministry is a community of women from throughout the Diocese of Crookston who share a desire to welcome others, create spaces of peace, and help retreatants encounter Jesus Christ.

Whether you are looking to serve a few weekends each year or become more involved in the life of the retreat house, your gifts can make a lasting impact.

Members of Some Women's Ministry serve in pairs during retreats and may assist in a variety of ways, including:

 Hospitality & Meal Service
•    Prepare the dining room for meals
•    Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to retreatants
•    Assist with dining room and kitchen cleanup

Retreat Hospitality
•    Welcome retreatants upon arrival
•    Help guests feel at home throughout their retreat
•    Assist retreat leaders with the small details that make each retreat run smoothly

⛪ Liturgical Support
•    Prepare the chapel for Mass, Adoration, and prayer experiences
•    Assist with spaces for Confession and Spiritual Direction
•    Help maintain a beautiful, prayerful atmosphere throughout the retreat house

❤️ General Service
•    Offer a helping hand wherever it is needed
•    Create an atmosphere of warmth, peace, and joyful hospitality
•    Serve alongside another volunteer in the spirit of Christ's call to go "two by two"

More Than Volunteering

Some Women's Ministry is more than helping at retreats—it's a community.
Members are invited to participate in a monthly small group where women encourage one another, pray together, and continue growing in their relationship with Christ. This ministry is rooted in friendship, accompaniment, and joyful service.

Serving Commitment

Women are asked to serve at two retreats each year, with the flexibility to choose the weekends that best fit their schedule. Those who wish to serve more frequently are always welcome.

As a thank you for serving, every member of Some Women's Ministry is invited to attend one Nazareth Retreat House retreat each year free of charge. We believe those who spend themselves serving others should also have the opportunity to rest, pray, and be renewed.
